World-renowned Capoeira artists from across the globe will gather in Toronto to participate in show-stopping, high-energy public performances from August 6-8th, 2010. Complete with high-flying acrobatics, live music, and inspiring cultural expression, the event is a unique showcase of the lively and entertaining Brazilian culture in Toronto.

Roda de Rua 2010, hosted by Axé Capoeira Toronto, takes place throughout Toronto for three days in August. We take capoeira back to its roots on the streets of Brazil through exhilarating street performances, which draw hundreds of spectators in Toronto’s busiest intersections. Live music, high-speed kicks and acrobatics, and incredible displays of athleticism capture the imagination of the crowd. The three-day event culminates in a ticketed performance of capoeira, traditional Afro-Brazilian dances, and extraordinary musical talent for over 800 spectators at the MacMillan Theatre in downtown Toronto.
